In just 3 months, Van Oord has installed 150 foundations for the Gemini wind farm.
On July 1st 2015, Van Oord began production with its own installation vessel Aeolus along with the Pacific Osprey from Swire Blue Ocean. On October 17th the last foundation was installed. The installation of the foundations has been completed a month earlier than planned.
On February 1st 2016, both ships go back to the project, fully adapted for the installation of 150 wind turbines.
The ships sail from the Danish Esbjerg where the wind turbines are made by Siemens and stored at the Gemini windfarm.
